A few weeks ago I started playing Prospectors after several recommendations from several acquaintances in the crypto world and today I am going to comment on my impressions and begin to explain a little how to get started in the game.
The game is, logically, to enrich yourself in a world dedicated to the extraction of gold, either because you dedicate yourself to mining, or because, in some way, you enter the chain that allows that mining. I say this because it is a fairly complex and complete game ... since it allows you to develop your strategy based on different options to achieve the long-awaited end. The path you take to become a tycoon is your choice.
First of all, to access the game, you must go to the web: prospectors.io and you must click on "Play". This will take you to a tutorial that will allow you to start getting to know the environment of the game a bit. You need to complete this tutorial to advance. However, here I will explain everything you need to start playing from the beginning.
Once you finish this tutorial, it takes you to a screen where you must choose in which world you want to start. And this will depend on the blockchain you want to use, EOS for Wild West, or WAX if you opt for Yukon. In my case I am in Yukon, since I was already using many WAX applications and had my wallet configured.
As you enter the game, you will appear on the terrain corresponding to the train station, which is located on plot -01 / -01. The entire world of Yukon, or Wild West, is divided into terrains and those terrains are called “plots.” Each plot has its coordinates to easily locate them.
However, before explaining anything else, I prefer to explain a little about the game environment so that you know how it works. This is how you see as you enter the game:
I start from left to right what each button is for:
-The first button (funnel-shaped) is to make filters. From here you can filter to see the situation of the different plots, as well as find out and have, visually, in which plots they are buying or selling different materials. We can also see from here in which plots jobs are available. This is useful to have visually on the map which plots are closest to me, to work or to sell my products, for example.
-Next button (the magnifying glass). Its purpose is to locate a certain plot by its coordinates, or to locate a player. From here you can see the situation of your workers, see if they are selling or buying something or even their plots. Interesting is that from here you have the ability to communicate with said player.
- The third button is simply a player ranking.
- The fourth button with the arrows is to put the game on full screen.
- The button in the shape of a house, serves to access your plots. Here at first you will only see the plot -01 / -01 because here you can store your things if you do not want to be carrying them constantly. (Remember, only here you can leave your things, if you leave them in any other warehouse that is not your property, other players can take them). Also here you can save your favorite plots.
- Button "hands shaking". This section is reserved for alliances. The truth is that I have not investigated much about this, but I have been able to see that there are products that, because they belong to a certain alliance, are cheaper.
-Button "Envelope". It is a communications port. From here you can access the Telegram group, or send a message to a specific player.
- Gear button ”, as always, takes you to configuration issues, to your referral link, conversion of the PGL token to gold in the game to be able to trade or vice versa.
Left side button panel:
-The first button from the top is to access the map if you are in the plot view.
-The next button "the scale", allows access to the store. From here you will be able to market materials, resources, tools, find out who buys and sells (and from what plot they are doing it, this is very important that you take it into account. It is not the same to buy a tool in the plot next to it, than to have than traveling for an hour and a half to get an item).
-Button of the "Hammer". This button is for job search. From here you can filter by type of job or by the tools necessary to perform it.
- "The folio and the pen", here are the plots that are available at auction or access your favorite plots.
- "The sacks", here you will see all the resources, materials or tools that you have, in warehouses or that your workers may have.
- The next button (The book) is very important. It is the query tool. Here you can find out about any questions that arise. From what materials are necessary for the construction of a tool, to knowing what resources you need to get more elaborate elements such as steel plates or clay tiles, as an example.
Now we go to the right side button panel. These three are your workers. And by clicking on them, various options appear:
- The upper button, serves to move that worker to the plot that you have open.
- The middle button, exchange, to pass items from one worker to another.
- The lower button, to place yourself on the plot where your worker is.
Double clicking on a worker opens a window where you can access different views, as you have seen in the last captures. You can check the characteristics of your worker, what tools he is holding, what he carries in his backpack or you can even put him to make a tool.
Well, so far for now, I think the article is quite dense but I hope it can help you to familiarize yourself with the initial aspects of the game.
