This is a city building strategy game. You have to manage your resources, manage your army, manage and expand your city. It will be playable on both mobile and PC’s! This game seems to have been designed around gameplay first (rather than blockchain gimmicks). The artwork looks really creative (They claim each 3D building and icon “has been hand painted with love to the details”.)
They have two tokens. Hex is the in-game currency used for purchasing things. HEX will be available to purchase via other cryptos and through credit card, paypal, etc. The other token is a governance token called CSM. This gives the owner voting rights and a share of the profits generated from the game!
I am really excited about games like City State: Medieval which are taking solid gameplay and then figuring out Play To Earn concepts they can utilize. I think this approach will make games that are more fun than some of the current crop of blockchain games which seemed to have been designed in reverse – create a blockchain mechanic and than try to gamify it (often resulting in something extremely boring – In My Opinion). By the way, Crazy Defense Heroes is another game that had gameplay first and then introduced blockchain technology – definitely check out Crazy Defense Heroes if you like Tower Defense games!
City State: Medieval have opened early registration up – if you register through this link you get 250 HEX in your in-game account. You will also be able to be one of the first to be eligible to play the game once it is released. They haven’t published any release dates yet, but the game has been in development since 2019 and seems to have recently gained momentum. I get the feeling they are in the final stretch!
